The project involves the upgrade of Dunheved Road to ease road congestion in the city’s Western area. The project involves construction of a new 4km carriageway as well as reconstruction of existing road pavements and significant upgrades to civil infrastructure. The project further requires considerable service relocation and property adjustment work along the road corridor.

Commercial & Infrastructure were engaged to provide detailed cost-estimating services for the 100% detailed design phase of the project. Our team were required to undertake detailed quantification prior to producing construction cost estimates at a P50 and P90 level through first principles estimating, quantitative risk analysis and detailed expenditure forecasting. Our team worked closely with our design partner to segregate the project estimate based on a revised delivery strategy, while identifying value and risk management initiatives for consideration.
