Stuart Highway Roadside Rest Areas

The Stuart Highway Roadside Rest Areas project involves construction of new rest areas adjacent to the highway at nine locations. The project will increase road safety and useability by providing all road users additional resting areas and amenities. The scope of work includes site levelling, construction of new road pavements, new amenities for trucks and tie into the existing highway.

Commercial & Infrastructure were engaged to provide early phase cost estimates for all nine locations to inform value management and assist prioritisation of infrastructure. Our team produced first principles estimating, conducted quantification of concept level designs and performed quantitative risk analyses to establish P50 and P90 cost projections. Our team collaborated closely with designers to determine the scope and design requirements during the initial phase of the design process to ensure design intent was captured through the estimating procedure.
