Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM)
The Sydney Airport – Western Sydney Line is a new metro line running between St Marys to the new Western Sydney Aerotropolis, via the new Western Sydney Airport. This project will provide a new means of transportation and shape the future of the ever-growing Greater Western Sydney region, connecting commuters and travellers with the new Western Sydney International Airport and Aerotropolis region.
The Parklife Metro consortium was selected to deliver the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) contract for the joint Australian and NSW government project. The SSTOM contract has the largest scope of any Sydney Metro contract awarded to date, and is the largest Public Private Partnership awarded in New South Wales The contract includes 12 new metro trains, six new stations between St Marys and the new Aerotropolis, core rail systems and the stabling and maintenance facility to be built at Orchard Hills.
Commercial & Infrastructure have been engaged by Parklife JV across multiple projects including conducting evaluations of quantity, scope and cost for the JV. Our key people were engaged to undertake a review of Cost Risk Share items as well as a complete independent quantification of all services packages across the project (MEP packages). Our team also undertook independent quantification and review for all disciplines of key subcontractor tender submissions for three stations.
Our team was also engaged to undertake independent quantification and estimation for modification events across the SSTOM project, including minor and major contract modifications, as well as completing quantifications of each station structure in its entirety. The team continues to be actively involved in the quantity surveying space on the project.
