Jenolan Caves Road – Five Mile Failure

The Jenolan Caves Road – Five Mile Failure project involves the rehabilitation of the existing road located within the NSW’s Blue Mountains after extreme weather events caused major landslides and destruction of the road. The project will see stabilisation of the existing slope via soil nailing prior to reconstruction of the road to enable functionality and traffic usability once again.

Commercial & Infrastructure played a pivotal role in the project – acting as TfNSW’s Independent Estimator during the development of the Project’s Works Delivery Package Target Cost. In addition, Commercial & Infrastructure undertook the Independent Technical Review which required assessment of funding eligibility under the DRFA guidelines.
