McLaren Vale Landfill and Resource Recovery

The McLaren Vale Landfill is a waste management precinct owned and operated by ResourceCo and is designed for the storage and treatment of commercial waste. The upgrade involved construction of a new cell within the precinct, capable of receiving bulk contaminated waste and extracting leachates from such waste. The project included bulk excavation and formation of the storage cell prior to installation of the subsurface leachate extraction systems and clay foundation layers.

Commercial & Infrastructure were engaged by the Contractor during the tendering process to compile a competitive commercial response. The C&I Team were engaged to provide first principles estimates within the Contractor’s internal systems, source sub-contractor and material supply quotation and develop construction methodologies including staging diagram. C&I’s senior team debriefed the Contractor prior to handover ensuring that all allowances were understood and the full submission could be achieved within timeframes. The Contractor have since been awarded the project and have delivered the project within the allocated budget.
