Mobile Coverage Main Round

The Mobile Coverage Main Round, forming part of the mobile Black Spot Program, aims to address the digital divide between metropolitan centres and regional NSW through large-scale investment. The Mobile Coverage Main Round aims to eliminate mobile blackspots where people live and work in regional NSW through investment in resilient mobile phone infrastructure and emerging technologies.

Commercial & Infrastructure were involved in undertaking the quantitative risk analysis to develop P50 and P90 outturn costs for over 60 telecommunication locations across the region. This involved developing the civil cost estimates and working collaboratively with the specialist telecommunications consultants to develop total project costs and associated risk profiles. The role included facilitating and running risk workshops in order to appropriately define the contingent risk profile of the project. The role also included developing base, P50 and P90 cashflows to calculate Outturn costs for each site based on the delivery strategy, which involved working hand-in-hand with the financial and economics team for the Final Business Case.
